Leum Engineering Dock to Grade Ramps |

When a customer needs to add a new loading dock position, it often involves costly excavation and concrete construction. Self-Standing Loading Dock Platforms are designed to be modular and can be relocated easily as the business demands. These platforms can be stand alone for hand loading or integrate high capacity loading dock levelers and vehicle restraints. The combination of dock equipment, handrails, stairs and ramps allow a customer to design a steel loading dock that is flexible yet robust. |
|
Our ramps are built to match the dock design, commonly sized to 8’ wide or greater. Matching the width of the loading dock door increases the safety of the ramp by eliminating potentially dangerous “drop-off” zones between the ramp sides and the opening. Utilizing open serrated steel grating increases traction for the forklifts as they traverse the grade. To insure a long life and firm surface, mid-span support legs are installed to minimize ramp deflections caused with a 30’ span. If needed, full span ramps are available, typically if asphalt dock approaches are present. If the dock to grade ramp is considered a means of egress from the building or has potential for pedestrian traffic, side handrails are available.
